YOUNITE request you to choose ‘1 of 9’ in their group debut MV!
On April 20th, boy group YOUNITE made their official debut and released the music video their title track, ‘1 of 9’. This comes side by side with their 1st mini album, ‘Youni-Birth’. Filled with six tracks, this includes ‘Everybody’; a track with a pre-released music video the group dropped pre-debut in March. Both ‘1 of 9’ and ‘Everybody’ serve as double title tracks for their debut.
The group is the latest boy group from Brand New Music following AB6IX and BDC in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Comprised of 9 members (Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung, Eunsang, Hyungseok, Woono, DEY, Kyungmun and Sion), it notably contains Eunsang, who was a former member of the project boy group X1 formed through Mnet‘s survival show, ‘Produce X 101’.
The 17-21 year olds show their youthful charms in this music video. Dressed in pastel and white tones, the guys appeal to themselves to be chosen as the 1 of 9. The song is suitably bright and poppy, adding a slowed down trap rap break for its bridge before returning to the a vibe as light and innocent as if you were on the clouds.

The boy group have already announced their fandom name, YOUNIZ. This combines the group’s name with ‘need’, inferring the group and fans both need each other.
