TXT Records 816,000 Pre-Orders For “Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child”
Demonstrating their impressive musical growth, TXT scores a major accolade with their upcoming EP minisode 2: Thursday’s Child!
Charming boy group TXT recently achieved a massive amount of pre-orders for their upcoming mini-album minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.
On April 20, Big Hit Music and album distributor YG Plus announced that the group’s latest offering has already amassed 616,000 pre-order sales. Notably, TXT was able to obtain such achievement in just 6 days since the pre-order period began on April 14.
This is quite huge as it surpassed the pre-order sales of the group’s previous albums The Chaos Chapter: Freeze and The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape, which sold 700,000 and 560,000 copies, respectively. With this impressive feat, TXT has set another best personal record in their 3-year career.
The agency stated, “The album pre-order volume broke our own record within six days of starting pre-sale. It proves the powerful album’s power.”
That said, expectations are now rising regarding what kind of image, concept, and music style the group will show in their highly-anticipated comeback.
MORE TEASERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
Further raising MOAs’ anticipation, TXT has also revealed a new set of concept photos for minisode 2: Thursday’s Child.
Donning simple white shirts and muscle tees, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai demonstrated a mature image, while exhibiting serious facial expressions and mesmerizing gazes. The red rose in between their hands made the teasers more attractive. At the same time, it made fans more curious as to what their new album, specifically the title track, will be about.
Their physical growth is also evident throughout the photos released. The boys look handsome as ever will their natural looks on, while their new hairstyles suit them well as well as the fierce, strong, and melancholic theme of the album.
TXT will release their fourth mini-album minisode 2: Thursday’s Child on May 9 at 6 PM KST.
