Wishing you a meaningful service in the military, PENTAGON’s Hongseok!
PENTAGON’s Hongseok is leaving his fans for a while to fulfill his mandatory military duty.
Earlier today, Hongseok entered the training center and received basic military training before continuing his military service as an active-duty soldier. His agency, Cube Entertainment, released an official statement to announce that the details will be kept private to ensure the safety of the artist and the fans.
“In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the place and time of enlistment are private, and he will enlist quietly without any special procedures, so please understand,” the agency said.
To inform fans about his enlistment schedule, Hongseok took to social media to share an update. He posted several photos of himself in a studio with his short hair cut via Instagram. In his photo, the charming and talented idol is smiling brightly while stroking his hair with his hands.
Hongseok made his debut as a member of Cube Entertainment’s prized boy group PENTAGON in 2016. Together with his group, they gained popularity through their well-loved songs, including “Shine,” “Do or Not,” and “Daisy,” among many others. In 2019, he challenged acting and appeared in several drama projects such as Blue Birthday, Shadow Beauty, The Best Kitchen, and Phoenix 2020.
