Like, when 1D was still making music, they had a bonus track on Take Me Home called Truly, Madly, Deeply; I immediately thought, “OMG my heart, they covered Savage Garden!” (plot twist: they didn’t) And then, when the Backstreet Boys released Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, I had the gall to ask on Twitter if it was an Elton John cover. No, it was not, a fan replied quite rudely. And now it’s TXT with Trust Fund Baby. I know chances are it’s not a cover bc written by Beomgyu, but idk! lol It could just be he wrote the Korean translation, for all we know!
So yeah… (1) please tell me I’m not alone, and (2) next time I call “cover” on a similarly-entitled song, KINDLY tell me if it is or not.
