Kwak Dong Yeon, Go Sung Hee, Kang Min Ah, And Bae Hyun Sung Confirmed For Drama “Gaus Electronics”

Another webtoon-based Korean drama titled, Gaus Electronics, is in the works and it stars some of the highly sought-after actors today!

With plans to display their outstanding acting skills, Kwak Dong Yeon, Go Sung Hee, Kang Min Ah, And Bae Hyun Sung recently accepted offers to star in an upcoming drama titled Gaus Electronics.

Revolving around office life, the program will tackle the struggles that office workers usually experience. It will also show what office romance and friendship truly mean. 

The original webtoon garnered 2.6 billion views and is still receiving positive responses worldwide for its realistic yet humorous depiction of office life.

MEET THE CAST

Kwak Dong Yeon, who delivered a stellar performance in the 2021 hit drama, Vincenzo, will take on the role of Lee Sang Sik, who is working in the third branch of Gaus Electronics’ marketing department. Dull in nature, he is not afraid to speak his mind when people around him say things that don’t align with his views.

He is also a stickler for common sense, which causes him to become the center of conflict. Viewers can anticipate how Dong Yeon will portray such an interesting role, given that his previous characters share the same vibe.

Meanwhile, Go Sung Hee, who has a wide acting spectrum, will play the role of Cha Na Rae, the senior of Lee Sang Sik. She is the assistant manager of the third branch in the marketing department and is known for his efficiency at work. She has a fiery and confident personality that explodes uncontrollably once in a while, but she is often lost in reverie when it comes to anything besides work. 

With her lovely personality, Go Sung Hee will surely bring out a new and fun image that viewers can relate to.

Bae Hyun Sung, known for his appearances in Extraordinary You, Our Blues, and Hospital Playlist, will portray Baek Ma Tan, the direct heir of Power Group, Korea’s No. 2 company and Gaus Electronics’ biggest rival. In an attempt to make out his own path without his father’s influence, he will start to work at Gaus Electronics. 

Lastly, Kang Min Ah plays the role of Gun Gang Mi, Baek Ma Tan’s hardworking co-worker. Although tough to herself,  she is considered to be one of the prettiest employees at the office. However, she transforms into the Hulk when she gets drunk.

Kang Min Ah, who made a great impression in True Beauty and Beyond Evil will surely spice up and make the character Gun Gang Mi more interesting.

Gaus Electronics is the brainchild of Producer Seo Soo Min, who worked on Gag Concert and The Producers, as well as Park Joon Soo, who worked on M Countdown.

Filming for the drama has not yet been discussed. The program is set to premiere in the second half of 2022.
