Popular actor Kim Min Kyu is going to dominate the screens again soon with another interesting project!
After taking the world by storm with his role as chief secretary Cha Sung-hoon in SBS romantic comedy-drama Business Proposal, Kim Min Kyu will take on a new challenge as he accepts a role in the upcoming drama titled 대신관 렘브러리 High Priest Rembrary (LT).
Based on a web novel that also turned into a webtoon titled “Holy Idol,” the program will tell the story of high priest Rembrary who possesses the body of an unknown idol Woo Yeon Woo.
Kim Min Kyu portrays the character and lead role of Rembrary, who is a high priest from another world. He came to this world to fight the demon king, however, when he comes to his senses, he suddenly woke up in the body of a handsome idol.
This will mark Kim’s next drama venture following his successful stints in Snowdrop and Business Proposal.
With this sudden news, expectations are now rising regarding what kind of vibe, lessons, and messages the drama will bring to the table.
It will also be interesting to see how a high priest will adapt to the life of an idol and how will it portray the concept of romance.
Kim Min Kyu’s transformation in the show will surely bring entertainment to the viewers.
Kim Min Kyu debuted in 2013 with a small role in the Mnet drama Monstar. He gained sufficient experience and expanded his acting spectrum by starring in hit dramas such as Signal, Perfume, Because This Is My First Life and Queen: Love and War.
Proving she is an all-rounder, Kim Min Kyu also engaged in various variety shows throughout his career. He is part of the lead cast in Love Me Actually and JTBC’s Crime Scene Season 3.
High Priest Rembrary will air in the first half of 2023.
