Lovelyz’s Mijoo has been confirmed to enter the music scene as a soloist!
Lee Mijoo, a former member of the K-pop girl group Lovelyz, will make her solo debut soon.
Just recently, industry representatives revealed that Mijoo is preparing her solo album with the goal of late July to early August. Her song is suitable for a hot summer, and she has been supplied with songs by several composers. Antenna head Yoo Hee Yeol is also said to be working hard to pack an album for her.
Shortly after, Mijoo’s agency Antenna responded to the reports. “It is true that she is preparing for a solo debut. However, the timing or concept has not been confirmed,” the agency said.
The idol-turned-variety gem has shown enthusiasm for her solo debut several times after her transfer to her new agency. She showed off her singing skills by challenging the WSG Wannabe of MBC’s How Do You Play?
In addition, when she appeared on SBS Power FM’s Two O’clock Escape Cultwo Show, Mijoo shared her plans for a solo debut, saying, “It’s still a secret. Nothing has been decided yet. Please wait a little bit. Good news. I’ll bring it.”
Back in 2014, Lee Mijoo debuted as a member of Lovelyz under Woolim Entertainment. Late last year, the agency revealed that the seven members of the group have decided to leave the company after their contract expired on November 16, 2021.
