C9 Entertainment shares the cover pictorial featuring Lee Seok Hoon for the June issue of Theater Plus, a performance culture magazine.
Suiting up as Charlie in the musical Kinky Boots, Lee Seok Hoon charmed while garbed in a vibrant variety of outfits. He also emphasizes his quenchless desire to perform on stage albeit with the evident hard work required.
In the photos, Lee wore intense red costumes embodying symbols from the musical. Donning stylish white suits and funky outfits with a retro feel, the singer completed the pictorial with a pleasant feeling reminiscent of his Kinky Boots character complete with a warm smile.
Subsequently, in the accompanying interview, Lee reveals his thoughts about his musical comeback.
“I have no regrets. I am just grateful for the suggestion to do it one more time as it is a work that is bound to be popular with the stage, number, and script. Also, the energy it gives from practice is positively overwhelming. Even when performing, I can’t stop even if it’s hard because of the energy I’m getting.”
Regarding his character ‘Charlie’, he remarks on devoting time to interpreting well the emotions of the character.
Kinky Boots is a well-made musical that has been loved all over the world. It has won four major Broadway Awards with the director Jerry Mitchell and the lyrics/composition by Cindy Roper.
After landing on the domestic stage in 2014, it swept the Korea Musical Awards and The Musical Awards, perfectly establishing itself as a classic show musical representing Korea.
Lee Seok Hoon, who made his first musical debut through Kinky Boots in 2018, is drawing the attention of fans by taking on the role of the main character Charlie this year.
